Veteran Bangladesh players Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal have returned for the Test series against South Africa. BCB also announced the ODI squad for the tour.

Shakib Al Hasan opted out of the New Zealand tour for personal reasons while Tamim Iqbal was ruled out due to a thumb injury. Despite that, Bangladesh created history with their first-ever Test win in New Zealand. Now it will be the same challenge for them in South Africa as well as they never won a Test match or ODI in the rainbow nation before.

“After a long time, we are getting our full squad and we are excited about it. The return of Shakib and Tamim will naturally boost us up in the Test format. Khaled Ahmed can bowl fast so we have included him in the ODI side,” Minhajul Abedin spoke to Cricbuzz.

Bangladesh stuck with the same ODI squad which beat Afghanistan by 2-1 last week. Fast bowler Khaled Ahmed is the only new addition to the ODI squad.
