WWE has started inserting the NXT Superstars into the mainstay scene from 2019 fall onwards. They have participated at the Survivor Series event to have a sweep over the other two brands, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown. Now there are speculations going on that NXT will be a significant part of WrestleMania 36, as well to give them a chance to steal the spotlight.
As a result, reports suggested that the current NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler could be moving over to the main roster very soon.
It was already been reported that the WWE creative is very much high on her who could be portraying a bonafide heel’s role. Also, she could end up challenging for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.
The finish of the Survivor Series was written around Baszler’s “call-up” to the main roster. Also, Becky Lynch has beaten her down at the bygone PPV to plant seeds for a match that could end up happening at WrestleMania 36.
Wrestling News reported that the current rumor is that WWE will be positioning Shayna Baszler for a WrestleMania match against Becky Lynch.
However, we have also previously noted that Ronda Rousey could return and set up the match against Becky Lynch that never happened. So at this point, WWE basically has two options to pit against Becky at the biggest event of the year,
“They wanted Lynch vs. Baszler for WrestleMania if they couldn’t get Ronda Rousey back and Rousey has said that she is in no rush to return.” (courtesy ringsidenews.com)
With that being said, Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey or Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 36 seems to be locked in. At this point, there’s no update when Ronda could make a comeback from her much-hypes impregnation vacation.
It is rumored that she is the favorite to win the 2020 Royal Rumble edition that would let her solidify a title match at WrestleMania.
