On last week’s episode of WWE Raw, Buddy Murphy confirmed his heel character by joining Seth Rollins and AOP. Following his fourth straight televised loss to Aleister Black, Murphy sat helplessly at ringside against the barrier until Rollins begged him for help and thereby providing him a future idea.

He then ended up delivering a low blow to Big Show causing him to eat a Stomp and a big loss on behalf of the babyface team.

Big Plans In-Store For Seth Rollins-Buddy Murphy-AOP Faction On WWE Raw

Thus, Seth Rollins and the Authors of Pain beat Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and Big Show as Buddy Murphy became the fourth member of the new heel stable on WWE Raw.

Initially, Big Show was brought back on board to keep things neutralize on both the heel and babyface side. However, Show’s side is still one man down which may force him to stay around WWE TV for a little longer.

According to the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Rey Mysterio was originally expected to join the babyface team of Joe and Owens against Rollins’ band. Mysterio’s current program with Andrade for the United States Championship is just a filler before Andrade moves to the next challenger over the title.

Impressive Streak Of WWE Superstar Big Show Ended In 2019

But Murphy joining Seth Rollins takes the heel team’s number of members to four. So Big Show is still needed for the babyface team to keep things equalized on WWE Raw. Here’s more from the source via wrestlingINC.com,

“Dave Meltzer went on to report that The Big Show was not meant to be involved in the storyline for the long-term. With Mysterio currently feuding with Andrade, the face side was down a man and Big Show was brought in as a favor to get through this period. However, with Murphy joining the heel side, the babyfaces are still down a man once Mysterio joins them, so Big Show may be sticking around for longer than originally planned.”

Whether Big Show appears on next week’s episode of RAW will confirm his current status with the WWE. If the veteran continues to show up then it is likely that his stint may just continue until WrestleMania 36.

As for Rey Mysterio, he is booked to compete in a Ladder Match against Andrade that will be contested for the United States Championship.
