WWE News: Former WWE Superstars Returning For An Independent Show

A bunch of former WWE superstars looks to make comeback in an independent show. We have seen the independent shows taking this strategy successfully. Gathering multiple familiar WWE names earns them some free promotion. The norm has not changed yet as indicated in a recent advertisement.

Wrestling Under The Stars is the promotion who revealed a poster for their upcoming tour. According to the poster of the promotion, they will conduct two live events in the future. The first one between them will take place in Pittsburgh in due course. It will see multiple former WWE Superstars in action.

Ryback, Jack Swagger, Emma, Mark Henry and Hacksaw Jim Duggan are present on the poster. Ryback is the center of attention of course due to his achievements in his WWE career. Although he failed to win the prime title present in the company, there were never any doubts about his capability.

We have seen him main-eventing PPV events against the likes of John Cena and CM Punk. He is one of the strongest Intercontinental Champions in the company’s history. Later his relation with the officials became sour in 2016. Ryback was not happy in his position on the roster. So he chose to walk away from the WWE.

Since then he made very few appearances in the independent scene. He is busy promoting the Feed Me More Nutrition which is his own brand. But current updates are suggesting that the Big Guy is looking forward to coming back on TV. A video posted on Youtube suggests the same. We don’t know whether he is teasing a WWE return or appearance at the Impact Wrestling promotion.

Jack Swagger is another former WWE Superstar who could be a bigger draw in this upcoming event. He is a former world heavyweight champion and a two-time All-American on his own rights. It’s good to see a veteran like him wrestling inside the squared circle.

Presence of another WWE Superstar Mark Henry proves that he is no longer an employee of the WWE. We doubted whether his career was over after Hall of Fame induction. This appearance in the indie scene certainly confirms the same.

It’s also interesting to see the promotion using Emma’s WWE name in the poster. She currently wrestles in the ROH banner under Tenille Dashwood name. Ever since her days as a WWE superstar came to an end, she got more relevance as a female superstar. Hopefully, this good run for her will continue in the future.
