We have received another big news regarding the upcoming film on Paige. It is a multi-production project where a number of WWE and outside stars alongside Hollywood names will be appearing. Now we got to know that a former champion from WWE’s rival promotion worked as the stunt double for the central character.
Paige denied having plastic surgery
As much as it sounds strange, it really happened on the sets. On a recent episode of The Ross Report, Wrestling Inc.’s 2018 Impact Wrestling Knockout Of The Year Tessa Blanchard revealed herself to be the one. She talked about her experience of working on the biopic of Paige with the WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross.
The reason why Paige got removed from Smackdown
This is the first time that Tessa Blanchard opened up about her role in Fighting with My Family. It is sometimes unbelievable since she’s been working with Impact Wrestling for more than a year from now. In fact, she’s been the carrier of the Impact Wrestling women’s division by defending the Knockout title on different occasions and having a strong title run.
Nevertheless, these were his words on her role courtesy of WrestlingInc.com,
“Yeah, I was the stunt double for Paige, so I did all the workouts, all the wrestling, anything athletic as Paige,” Blanchard explained. “I was her stunt double, so we spent about three months out in [Los Angeles, California] and then we flew over to the [United Kingdom] and finished working on the movie there.”
The former Impact Knockouts Champion also revealed the experience that she has with The Rock. As per her comments, getting the opportunity to work side-by-side with The Rock was “absolutely special”. Plus, The Brahma Bull was a real humble person despite being one of the executive producers of the film. Here’s more,
“And what a patient and down-to-Earth person, someone who’s so high profile, but is still just so down-to-Earth and patient with people. And he really cares about the end product, so he takes the time to go and work on the details us. It was absolutely special.”
Tessa Blanchard went on to admit the fact that how much Paige had to deal while growing up. Her entire family belonged to the pro-wrestling background. But their dysfunctional attitude might have been a big problem for her. Additionally, it was also tough to rebuild herself after going through so much in her entire career.
Zelina Vega is another name who belonged to Impact Wrestling when the film’s shooting started. She was under contract of WWE’s rival brand before jumping ship to NXT and now on Smackdown. For those who don’t know, she is playing the role of AJ Lee in Fighting with My Family. The film with the central character Paige is eyeing a global release in March 2019.
