The obvious reason behind WWE creating the main event of Wrestlemania 35 is no more present on programming. Ronda Rousey is the concerned name who suffered an injury during the triple threat match, as per the earlier reports. She hurt her hand during the match probably breaking a bone that would now land her onto the operation table. This will keep her out of the wrestling picture for a long time as claimed by numerous sources.

Ronda Rousey’s opponent already set for Summerslam?

How long Ronda Rousey be out due to injury?

Ronda Rousey herself posted a video on her Youtube channel for the first time since Wrestlemania 35 to confirm the injury. She was clearly channeling the bonafide heel persona played on Monday Night Raw and said the amount of heat she has to carry on a daily basis.

For now, she will have to be part of some rehab sessions to come out of the injury. Fightful.com was the first to disclose some information on her current status. The source stated that the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey was backstage on the post-Wrestlemania episode of WWE Raw. But she did not appear due to the hand injury and also WWE already planning a hiatus for her following the ‘show of shows’.

The source also revealed that Tuesday Night will mark the date for her to surgically repair the wounded hand. She might need more than six months to heal up from this and hence there’s no chance of seeing her until late 2019 or early 2020. This would depend on how the WWE creative team plans to bring back her on TV.

Meanwhile, an interesting report came out of Sean Ross Sapp of the same source that claimed that Ronda Rousey was already working hurt at Wrestlemania 35. She might have picked up the wound even before the triple threat match and now WWE is just using this as part of a worked angle,

“The match was worked out ahead of time, and WWE cameras actually filmed Rousey, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch preparing for it. Rousey had to battle through a big cut on her leg from last week, which required over a dozen stitches.”

Whatever the truth is, the bottom line is that the UFC Hall of Famer is not appearing on WWE Raw for a long time. In her absence, Becky Lynch will be in charge of the women’s division. The first rivalry for her is waiting in the form of Lacey Evans.
