WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is an Irish woman as per her ethnicity. This keeps her to the same league to that of two more WWE roster members, Sheamus, and Finn Balor. Both these superstars is a proud representative of Ireland since day one. They are way more seniors in terms of wrestling experiences than The Man. So a rumor broke out in earlier days speculating whether they have to do something with Lynch’s entry to the WWE.

Especially, Sheamus was the target of the internet which suggested that he is the reason why The Man is on the WWE. However, that is not true, at all as clarified by the veteran superstar in the latest interview. During a recent sitdown with Express, former World Champion Sheamus addressed an old rumor about him helping Becky Lynch get a job in WWE.

The five-time world champion did admit that he let Becky Lynch introduce to the right people before she was in WWE. But it was all herself who proved her potential to the officials and secure a place on NXT roster. It did not have to do anything with Sheamus or his prominent position on the roster. Here’s what he has stated on the matter,

“I actually talked to Becky, I had a conversation before her tryout. I think I got her in touch with whoever it was, I got her in touch with the right people. I just made a connection, she did it all herself. Sometimes things can get misconstrued or whatever like I got her in WWE. That’s not true at all, but I gave her the information and passed it on until she got the opportunity. She did it, she took it.”

Sheamus has been in the main event picture when Becky Lynch took entry to the NXT roster. However, it’s great to know that he did not have any influence on Becky Lynch performing on NXT regularly. Today, he has taken over the roster as perhaps the most popular superstar who also has one of the highest merchandise selling figures. As for Sheamus. He is out of the WWE with a potential neck concussion. But doctors have recently given him clean-chit as he could be back in time for the WWE Draft.
