Braun Strowman will compete at the traditional Survivor Series match from the men’s division. This past Monday Night, he confronted Stephanie McMahon on WWE Raw about the same. The commissioner of the show offered something big to him in the future. It was clear that he depends a lot on the behemoth to bring the brand supremacy title back to the flagship show.
So Stephanie McMahon gave him a future Universal Championship shot if Team WWE Raw receives the victory. This is a big hint that Braun Strowman will indeed get a future title rematch against Brock Lesnar. At Crown Jewel, Baron Corbin hit him from the back to steal the opportunity. But his status on the roster will definitely hand him over a bigger stage to win the title.
Previous speculations were that Brock Lesnar will keep the Universal Championship until Wrestlemania. This will help to set the rematch at the biggest stage of the year. But recent reports suggest that officials might have already preponed this particular match. This could very well be taking place at the Royal Rumble PPV event in January.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter clarified that Brock Lesnar will not perform at TLC in December. He also learned from the sources that this match will not take place at Wrestlemania, either. Hence, he believes Royal Rumble will be the place to be for this rematch. It also hints that Braun Strowman could become the Universal Championship even prior to Wrestlemania.
Here are the comments of Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio,
“Since they directly brought up Braun Strowman challenging, it seemed like something that they’re not doing six months down the line. It seemed like something they’re doing for the next big [pay-per-view]. Right now Lesnar is not booked in San Jose, which would be the December pay-per-view so the one after that is the January pay-per-view, which is the Royal Rumble. That is what it feels like to me and from there, who knows.”
These suggestions from the veteran journalist indicate that WWE Raw will be the winners at upcoming Survivor Series PPV over Smackdown. Braun Strowman will play a major factor to bring the trophy home and thereby earning a shot to the Universal Championship. He will also get his hands on the acting GM, Baron Corbin.
According to the source, the creative team is protecting Drew McIntyre for a long time. This is just a gear-up for the Scottish Psychopath before entering the big league. Hence, he could eventually become a part of Wrestlemania main event. We assume a heel McIntyre can challenge a babyface Braun Strowman at the same show over the title.
