WWE News: Why Becky Lynch Missed This Week’s Episode Of WWE Raw
One of the strangest things of this week’s episode of WWE Raw was that there was not any segment featuring the women superstars. Most notably, the women’s champion of the red brand, Becky Lynch missed the show.
While some of the fans were wondering about his status, being in jeopardy that has not been the case. WWE got enough good reasons to take her out of the flagship show on this past Monday night.
Becky Lynch was attending the Women + Sports Summit and thereby representing the WWE on this mainstream show. Thus she had to miss the show despite being the champion.
It was a big 10 year anniversary of the ESPN summit and The Man played a significant role while making the appearance. WWE used this opportunity to grab some much needed public relation points as well. They don’t miss out on such occasions to send representatives to have some mainstream attention.
WWE public relations official Twitter handle also released some of the pictures from the event to confirm that Becky Lynch was involved in some other activities.
Being the face of the women’s division, she had major other responsibilities to wrap around, all the time. So wrestling inside the ring and defending the belt are not the only duties she pulls off. The company made him a Wrestlemania main-eventer for a reason.
Speaking of Wrestlemania, Becky Lynch has been the WWE Raw women’s champion since the biggest event of the year. She became a dual champion on that night creating an all-time record. Since then the red division belt belongs to her as she successfully defended it against prominent names of the women’s division.
The last time Becky Lynch had a championship match was at WWE Hell in a Cell 2019 against Sasha Banks. The stretched rivalry came to an end, thereby after Banks found herself on the SmackDown brand following the WWE Draft.
With that being said, Becky may find herself against a new opponent in due course. More updates will be available on this matter as we expect The Man to return on Raw, next week.
