WWE Universe witnessed a number of dream matches throughout the year of 2018. Ronda Rousey was a part of some of those as she made Monday Night Raw her own house over the past few months. Another big one match is waiting for him at Wrestlemania 35 when she faces Becky Lynch. The latter one won the Royal Rumble match to confirm this potential main event match. Charlotte Flair might also join them to make it a three-way match.
Meanwhile, another match was on WWE’s card for quite sometimes involving Ronda Rousey. We are talking about the WWE four-horsewomen vs. UFC four-horsewomen match. This match is reportedly in the pipeline for a long time now. We expected this one to happen at both the Survivor Series PPVs in 2017 and 2018. There was a chance of seeing it in early 2019 which is out of the window, for now.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE had the plans of hosting the match involving the four-horsewomen factions. Sasha Banks came up with The Four Horsewomen pose and seemingly indicated for the next rivalry in-store for the women’s division. It happened during the Royal Rumble title match between Ronda Rousey and The Boss.
But the veteran pro-wrestling journalist confirmed that there’s no chance of seeing it, any time soon. There’s only two pay per view events are remaining in due course prior to Wrestlemania. The Elimination Chamber tag team match has already booked a number of female participants leaving no scope for this particular match. Here’s more stated by the source, (courtesy ringsidenews.com)
“Ronda actually cut a promo about the Horsewomen vs Horsewomen match. It was actually a good promo too. Right now as far as between now and WrestleMania there are no plans for that. It can change, but there’s nothing now you know so I had asked specifically.”
“I said, ‘it looks like they’re going that direction’ and Sasha really, really wants that especially and Ronda’s not opposed to it. You know those are her real friends, but it’s not in the cards the next two pay-per-views right now. It can change, but anyway.”
Ronda Rousey is all set to start the official rivalry with Becky Lynch in due course as the Wrestlemania storylines begin. Charlotte Flair might also join these two to set up a triple-threat match over the championship at the show of shows. So there might not be any room for the much-anticipated match featuring the four-horsewoman factions. But you never know what the future holds.
