WWE Raw Results (06/07/20): Champion vs Champion; Extreme Rules Hypes

Extreme Rules pay-per-view hypes were the main focus of this week’s episode of WWE RAW. A massive main event was in-store on the show where Asuka competed against SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley. Alongside that, the other storylines eyeing the PPV also moved along when WWE’s flagship show aired from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Check out the results,
Drew McIntyre opened WWE Raw to have a conversation with Dolph Ziggler on their Extreme Rules match. Ziggler introduced McIntyre’s former partner Heath Slater who’s no more employed in the WWE. Slater mentions how McIntyre has forgotten him and then slapped him to the face to start a match.

McIntyre won the opening match against Heath Slater right away by a Claymore Kick and posed with the title. Ziggler got into the ring and attacked Slater. McIntyre cane back and forced Ziggler to retreat from the ring.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions – Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley were out for a promo which was cut by WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka. She brought out Kairi Sane who competed next against Sasha Banks. The match was disqualified as Bayley attacked Sane while she was applying a Boston Crab. A brawl occurred around the ring. But the Kabuki Warriors stood tall as Sane delivered the InSane Elbow Drop on the tag champs.

The Kevin Owens Show was back on WWE Raw with Seth Rollins as the special guest who threw a challenge to Rey Mysterio for a match at Extreme Rules. Mysterio appeared at ringside with son Dominik and proposed a tag team match, right there. Owens proposed that the winning team gets to pick the stipulation for Rey vs. Rollins at Extreme Rules.

Seth Rollins and Murphy vs. Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens was the tag team match lineup on WWE Raw. Dominik took a cheap shot on Murphy when the referee wasn’t watching. Rey took advantage by hitting a 619 and Frogsplash on him for the victory. Rey then chose ‘An eye for an eye’ match stipulation at Extreme Rules.

MVP appeared on WWE Raw with Bobby Lashley to declare that he will challenge Apollo Crews at Extreme Rules for the United States Title. They also revealed a newly designed US belt before Cedric Alexander and Ricochet came out for a tag team match. Cedric was dominating MVP but Lashley got a sudden tag and hit Cedric with a Spear for the win. After the match, he punished Cedric with the Full Nelson.

Big Show and The Viking Raiders vs. Randy Orton, Andrade, and Angel Garza was the six-man tag team match lineup on WWE Raw. Show was taken out by Andrade’s Sleeper Hold but he managed to tag Erik. Before he started rolling, Randy Orton hit him with a sudden RKO to pick up an easy win.

Ruby Riott vs. Billie Kay was the next match lineup on WWE Raw where Peyton Royce distract Riott. Kay used this as an advantage and dropped her opponent with a big boot. She hit the Boyfriend Stealer on Riott to get the win.

Asuka competed against Bayley in the main event of WWE RAW with Nikki Cross appearing on the commentary. Cross appeared in the back of the Plexiglass to distract Bayley as Asuka had the Asuka Lock applied on Bayley. Banks tried to break the hold but Sane hit her with The Interceptor.
Bayley had no choice but to tap out to Asuka Lock. Asuka stood tall as Nikki Cross applauded her to close the show.
