WWE Smackdown Live Preview (18/02/19): Daniel Bryan Fastlane Opponent, The Miz Apology
Feb 19, 2019 at 1:20 PM
We have not seen any such significant progression towards Fastlane storylines on WWE Raw. But this should not be the case over on Smackdown Live. We have the “Planet’s Champion” who must look ahead to WWE Fastlane. The headliner of the show will be a revelation of a new challenge for the New Daniel Bryan. This raises the curiosity high around tonight’s show.
Daniel Bryan achieved an incredible record
The Elimination Chamber fallouts will definitely accompany the above-mentioned announcement. Charlotte Flair will be present on the show to address the remorseless attack from Becky Lynch. There should be some update on Smackdown women’s championship. Also, The Miz will issue an apology to Shane McMahon after the loss from this past Sunday. All of these are waiting on the show that takes place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Daniel Bryan will continue to be on the main event spotlight in pay-per-view events, moving forward. Brock Lesnar will not resurface on WWE programming until next month. So the WWE Champion will have to put his title on the line after going through that grueling battle inside the Elimination Chamber. WWE.com confirmed that the McMahons will name his next opponent for Fastlane,
“The self-proclaimed “Planet’s Champion” will look to continue his crusade to save the world as The Road to WrestleMania heats up. But there’s still the final stop, WWE Fastlane, ahead. Tonight on SmackDown LIVE, the WWE Champion’s opponent for the March 10 event will be revealed. Who will be the roadblock on Daniel Bryan’s road to New York City?”
The current advertisement from WWE Fastlane suggests that there will be a triple threat match. Daniel Bryan will have to defend his WWE Championship against two prime names from Smackdown. They should be AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. However, there can be a change in planning after the incredible performance by Kofi Kingston. WWE Universe is rooting for more title opportunities for this veteran name from the blue brand. So he might just join the list as well setting up a fatal-4-way title match at Fastlane.
We have not seen or heard from Asuka ever since Royal Rumble passed by. It is sad to see a string champion like her does not get enough opportunity on Smackdown i.e. land of opportunity. We hope that she returns on tonight’s edition to get the next challenger for Fastlane. Otherwise, her title reign will become irrelevant.
Charlotte Flair wanted to have a closer look at her WrestleMania opponent, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at Elimination Chamber. She could barely expect that Becky Lynch would come out to deliver a beatdown on her. With her Wrestlemania title match waiting, The Queen will be appearing on Smackdown to talk about that attack. The question is whether Becky Lynch tries to appear on the show. If she does so, this time the police will arrest her, as informed by the WWE.
It was just a matter of time for The Miz and Shane McMahon to fall apart. Elimination Chamber brought the moment quite earlier than expected after they lost the Smackdown tag team titles to The Usos. The A-lister seemed much concerned about the loss who tried to talk to Shane after their match. But Shane was not willing to hear anything. Tonight, The Miz will issue an apology to the authority figure. This might just kick-off a rift between them for a future Wrestlemania match.
