WWE Smackdown Preview (12/02/19): Go-Home Elimination Chamber, Gauntlet, McMiz TV

Tonight the final live WWE TV taping airs in the form of Smackdown Live prior to Elimination Chamber. Expectedly, all the pay-per-view storylines will receive the final hypes heading into this Sunday’s event. Additionally, the stakes are higher than ever as the six participants of the WWE Championship match will compete in a Gauntlet.

Return set to happen on tonight’s Smackdown

Also, the first episode of McMiz TV is all set to debut on Smackdown Live with the special guest, The Usos. We also expect to see some final buildups for the women’s division tag team championship match inside the Elimination Chamber. All of these will be in store when the show airs from the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.

Injury to change Gauntlet match on tonight

The main event of tonight’s Smackdown Live is going to be a huge match. Six participants of this Sunday’s Elimination Chamber WWE title match will compete in a Gauntlet bout. Two men will start the contest with the winner facing the next one in the fray. It will continue until we receive the ultimate winner after all the matches.

WWE.com added a huge stipulation on this Gauntlet contest,

“A Gauntlet Match will take place this Tuesday night on SmackDown LIVE between the six combatants who will battle in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event. WWE Champion “The New” Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, Mustafa Ali, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, and Samoa Joe will all run the gauntlet and the last Superstar standing will earn the right to enter the Elimination Chamber last on Feb. 17.”

As you can see, the Gauntlet winner on Smackdown will get the chance to enter last at the Elimination Chamber. It gives the ultimate advantage to the winner. And who better to use the opportunity than the WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan himself. We pick him as the potential winner of tonight’s Gauntlet via some help from Eric Rowan.

Rumors are running on a potential injury about Mustafa Ali from last week. If that is the case then he might get removed from the Elimination Chamber match on this Sunday as well as tonight’s Gauntlet. Also, the women’s division of Smackdown is likely to deal with a fallout now that Charlotte Flair is facing Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania 35.

The inaugural edition of McMiz TV will premiere on Smackdown Live. The tag team champions, Shane McMahon and The Miz will be the host of this talk-show with The Usos being the special guests. We expect to see a verbal encounter between these two teams that can go, physical. After all, we need some buildups before getting the title bout at Elimination Chamber.

Smackdown women’s champion Asuka is absent from TV taping for two weeks in a row. We have not received any update whether she will be having a next championship defense at Elimination Chamber. We expect her to show up on tonight to receive the next challenger in line. Also, the female roster would gear up for the Elimination Chamber tag team matchup.

We also expect an added championship match at Elimination Chamber from Smackdown Live. Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura showed great team efforts on last week. However, we doubt whether their bond will last long. Both of them are gunning for the United States Championship. Hence, they both might get the chance in a triple threat against R-Truth on this Sunday’s PPV event.
