Ronda Rousey is one of the most well-known names to have made it big in the WWE after coming from the world of combat sports. As the multi-time Women’s Champion, she continues to rule WWE’s yard as the company always looks forward to presenting her on TV as a protected character.

There has been some confusion regarding her TV character being face or heel after dropping the Smackdown Women’s Championship to Liv Morgan back in the summer of 2022. However, Ronda Rousey got the title back from Morgan in a hardcore Extreme Rules match and she also solidified her heel persona that’s quite comfortable to her. It’s pretty certain that she’s enjoying her current run, unlike the first stint that appeared to be quite rigorous for her.

Fans previously refused to oblige Ronda Rousey as they felt she was not a natural babyface figure. Even she herself complained about how WWE wasn’t allowing her to be a villain. That’s not the case she was turned into a heel. Plus, she could have also formed an alliance with her long-time friend Shayna Baszler.

This also allowed her to become a dominant champion of the blue brand. Speaking on her YouTube channel, Ronda Rousey shed light on her ongoing run in the WWE which has been pretty enjoyable to her,

“I think this run is easier because I kind of know how things work around here and I’ve kind of paid up more of my dues. I have put enough time here that they’ll at least hear me out and explain to me why I’m wrong if I am, you know, and that way I learned something. I think I feel like I have more of a voice this time and confidence to use it.”

After a three-year-long hiatus, Ronda Rousey made her WWE return at the 2022 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event in January. She won the Women’s Rumble match that year to headline Wrestlemania. Then she also won the Smackdown Women’s Championship on two occasions in the year to become an overall three-time champion in the company.

Under Triple H’s booking perspective and creative leadership, The Baddest Woman on the Planet could have been working more freely during her ongoing stint and she’s happy with the overall experience. As a bonafide heel figure, her dominance should continue in the WWE.
