WWE Survivor Series 2018 Match Card, Preview And Predictions

The 32nd edition of Survivor Series takes place in Hollywood, this year. It is coming up with two main Champion vs. Champion matches with Wrestlemania main-event written all over these. Interestingly, both of these matches did not get even a single episode of WWE Raw or Smackdown episode to get some buildup. Still, we expect them to deliver to a big extent.

Spoiler for Survivor Series main event

Must read: Big matches set for next PPV i.e. WWE TLC

The traditional Survivor Series matches will also be on the card from the men, women and tag team division. WWE Raw and Smackdown will go to war to win the race of ‘bragging rights’, as always. Both the brands gathered the best team possible to score the big W. Smackdown would be desperate to end the losing streak of the last two years.

Smackdown superstar not happy about Survivor Series

WWE Network is the place to be to watch the live streaming of Survivor Series. In India, Sony Ten 1 Network will also broadcast the show, live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Kick-off show for the PPV will begin at 3.30 AM IST on Monday morning. (November 19) The main show of Survivor Series will begin at 5.30 AM IST. Here is the match card of the show with potential outcomes.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Mustafa Ali

Prediction: It’s good to see the Cruiserweights making it to the main show of a PPV, again. Both these gentlemen had taken their game to the next level in the recent times that confirms a quality match. Buddy Murphy is one of best cruiserweights available on the roster, at present. He should retain the title to continue a dominant title reign. But Mustafa Ali is indeed ‘the heart and soul’ of the Cruiserweight division. So fans would root for him to pick up the maiden championship in his career.

WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins

Prediction: Survivor Series has come up with this dream matchup due to the Champion vs. Champion theme. Both of these superstars are globally acclaimed wrestlers who should deliver a show-stellar. Seth Rollins is a sure-shot winner in this capacity considering his relevance on WWE Raw brand. However, we can’t rule out the possibility of an interference from Dean Ambrose. If this happens, then Nakamura will come out of the match as the victor.

WWE Raw Tag Team Champions AOP (Akam and Rezar) vs. WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar (Cesaro and Sheamus)
Prediction: Another solid match waits for the fans as these two teams go to war at Survivor Series. Both these team are extremely physical in style and so we expect them to beat the hell out of each other. We expect them to pull out all the stops to steal the show. This might ensure a better booking of the tag division in the future. AOP should receive the win to pick up the momentums and further prove that they are the future of this division.

WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair
Prediction: Wrestlemania comes early for the fans at Survivor Series as we get to see this match. No wonder this match was going to be the ultimate culmination for the women’s revolution process. Now Becky Lynch’s injury made it happen without any buildup. But the veteran performers should not have a problem with that. They should deliver a classic before Ronda Rousey walks out with the huge win.

WWE Universal Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan

Prediction: The question is will Daniel Bryan be able to walk out of Survivor Series in a single piece? Brock Lesnar is someone who does not care if his opponent had to retire due to neck concussion a few years ago. He would mercilessly deliver suplexes on Daniel Bryan like a ragdoll. How the new WWE Champion could fight back in a battle that is a modern day version of David vs. Goliath entity. The planning for this match will no doubt be very curious one from this perspective. We will see whether Bryan can come up with a way to survive.

Women’s 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match:
Team Raw (Mickie James, Nia Jax, Tamina, Natalya, and Ruby Riott) (with Alexa Bliss) vs. Team SmackDown (Carmella, Naomi, Sonya Deville, Asuka, and TBA)

Prediction: The fifth member of Smackdown Survivor Series is still unknown. Originally, Charlotte Flair was in this place that is yet to be filled. Nobody from the roster could match up to her level which should become the main reason behind the blue brand’s shortcoming. This team is extremely weak in comparison to the flagship brand’s lineup. Only Asuka is the relevant name who could pick up some momentum. But we think that will not be enough to bring the victory to Team Blue.

Men’s 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match:
Team Raw (Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman, Finn Bálor, and Bobby Lashley) (with Baron Corbin) vs. Team SmackDown (The Miz, Jeff Hardy, Shane McMahon, Rey Mysterio, and Samoa Joe)

Prediction: Both the teams look same-to-same as seen in the lineups. But we think Braun Strowman will be the difference-maker for WWE Raw division, once again. Stephanie McMahon already granted him some rewards if he could snatch the victory from Smackdown’s grabs. This might be to give us a hint of the outcome of the traditional Survivor Series tag team elimination match. Despite resistance from the likes of Miz or Rey Mysterio, the Monster among Men should turn out to be the sole Survivor on behalf of his team.
