WrestleMania 36 season will begin soon with the 2020 edition of Royal Rumble. This is the time that Vince McMahon will try to bring back the so-called part-timers aka legends to fill up the match card as they help to draw ratings. One of the major names which are now under speculation to make a comeback is none other than WWE Hall of Famer Edge.

Huge Update On Legendary Edge Returning To In-Ring Competition

As reported earlier this year, Edge was speculated to return to action for at least one more match. He was is in good shape and reportedly admitted to taking bumps on movie sets following his WWE retirement. He also mentioned having a match tomorrow, but that did not confirm whether WWE wanted him to wrestle again.

Lita Opens Up About The Situation With Edge And Matt Hardy

However, the situation may have changed in recent times as Edge is on the creative team’s radar. According to Brad Shepard, WWE would like to have Edge for in-ring competition around for WrestleMania.

He is “on an internal” “wish list” along with CM Punk. It still doesn’t confirm that Edge will return to WWE competition, however.

Here’s what the source updated about Edge,

“In an update to my report on #WWE’s Road to WrestleMania wishlist, another person they hope to get is Edge.

His name is beginning to pop up now at HQ.

If he were to be cleared (in time), I’m told there’s a real chance he wrestles again – possibly at the next Saudi show or WrestleMania 36.”

Previous reports already claimed that Edge was in Pittsburgh due to the ‘WWE business’ purpose. Since this city is the home of WWE’s chief physicians, some fans thought that it was actually a try to get him medically cleared so that he could be back in the squared circle. However, the 11-time world champion wiped out that chanced on the social media.

The belief is that Edge is extremely busy with his movie career, nowadays. He has also become a father of two kids who might just want to stay in the retired state, anyway. He retired as a World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania which may always remain as the last match for him.
