WWE doesn’t allow superstars who had turned their back on the company to appear or get mentioned on their programming, at all.
CM Punk and Dean Ambrose are two of those names who went to create a conflict with the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world. The latter eventually ended up angering the top officials of the WWE by showing his face on WWE TV, in recent times.

The Lunatic Fringe of WWE recently spoke to PWInsider.com to promote his upcoming Cagefighter movie to note about several things like his life in lockdown, this Backstage topic, and more.
While getting asked about whether Renee Young received negative feedback from WWE for his Backstage cameo, he said, “Short answer is yes.” Dean Ambrose didn’t want to give any details and hence it’s hard to guess what the consequences have been for Renee, after the incident.
The current AEW World Champion Jon Moxley aka Dean Ambrose also talked about his health noting that some of his injuries occurred as a direct effect due to the constant travel that came along with the WWE schedule,
“What ran my body down in the grounds overtime was the travel, because it’s that and getting put there two tables on house shows five nights a week for years straight. But it’s like, I go through the table, but then you got to jump in a car and drive 300 miles,
Even when I started getting rundown, I should have taken some time off” said Moxley. “or I should have been like, I’m injured, I shouldn’t do this, or whatever, I just kept pushing through. Foolishly, I might add because there was no gold star for that.”
