The Great Khali is an icon in India, courtesy of his stint in the World Wrestling Entertainment where he became a World Heavyweight Champion. This accolade was unachieved by anyone else in the company since 2017 before Jinder Mahal clinched the WWE Championship as a second Indian. (But Mahal was the first Indian to hold the WWE Title)
During his time away from the company, The Great Khali has been involved in spreading WWE-kind of wrestling across India via his CWE (Continental Wrestling Entertainment) promotion. He previously worked with a few celebrities from our country to entertain the audience. Now a model and actress Arshi Khan joined her league, recently who promises to perform as a wrestler in the future.

A video has been released on CWE’s official YouTube page where Arshi Khan was being interviewed following her admission to the academy. Sitting by The Great Khali, the Big Boss fame actress stated that the former WWE star has been her idol, this whole time as she will find immense pleasure to learn the tricks of the squared circle.

The Great Khali runs his CEW promotion in Punjab
While there are no imminent plans on letting her perform in CWE shows, she may be seen in action, down the road. For that, Arshi may have to be shifted from her residence in Mumbai to Punjab. Prior to this, she made an appearance in the January 2020 ‘The Great Khali returns’ show of CWE to perform in the superhit “Laila O Laila” song from Shah Rukh Khan starring 2016 movie Raees. She also gave a dual performance with Sapna Chowdhury in a separate appearance.
In February 2015, The Great Khali opened his own wrestling school in Punjab named Continental Wrestling Entertainment, which held its first event on 12 December of that same. In February 2016, he won the CWE World Heavyweight Championship, the prime belt inaugurated by the company.
As The Great Khali remains involved with wrestling activities around India, he also makes sporadic appearances for WWE. Earlier this year, he received the Hall of Fame honor during the Wrestlemania 37 weekend alongside the other Class of 2021 inductees. He flew down to Tampa, Florida to collect his ring from the company and spend some good times with his former colleagues.
