CM Punk made his in-ring return at AEW All Out 2021 as he went on to defeat Darby Allin in a singles contest. This was Punk’s first match in seven years since leaving the WWE. His final match on TV took place at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in 2014.
AEW All Out 2021 took place at Punk’s hometown of Chicago and hence the crowd was firmly behind him. But the youngster Allin also managed to receive a number of chants for him throughout the match. Punk also debuted a new in-ring gear for his returning match as he wore a full-length track-pant instead of his usual vest.
Near the end of the match, CM Punk was able to hit his GTS finisher on Allin for the pinfall victory. After the match, the former WWE Champion celebrated a bit before Sting arrived at the ring and check on his friend. Sting offered his hand to Punk and the duo shook it. Allin then got up on his feet after the match and also shook his hand with Punk to end the segment.

Another former WWE Champion was in action at AEW All Out 2021 in the form of Dean Ambrose who is now going by the name of Jon Moxley. He defeated NJPW Legend Satoshi Kojima in a singles contest. After the match, NJPW wrestler Minoru Suzuki made his AEW debut and confronted Moxley, teasing the beginning of a feud.
Chris Jericho saved his career at AEW All Out 2021
Speaking of former WWE wrestlers, veteran Chris Jericho put his career on the line at AEW All Out 2021 in a match against MJF. Eventually, the legendary superstar went on to win the match and his career will continue in AEW.
At first, MJF hit Jericho with the Judas Effect finisher and went for the cover. Jericho put his leg on the bottom rope, but the referee Aubrey Edwards didn’t see it and counted to 3. Hence, MJF was awarded the win. However, another referee informed Aubrey of what happened.
Hence the match was restarted in which Jericho made MJF tap out to the Walls Of Jericho. Via this submission win, Jericho’s AEW All Out 2021 didn’t mark the end of his in-ring career. Jericho is done with the WWE in 2018 where he made one last appearance on Raw during a Legends Night in January of that year. Thereafter, he participated in the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia entering in the 50th spot.
