AEW Battle of The Belts II tapings went down at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas, this week following a live edition of Rampage. One of the highlights of the night marked a new champion as Sammy Guevara was able to capture the AEW TNT Championship.
During the AEW Battle of The Belts II taping, Guevara defeated Scorpio Sky in the opening match to win the TNT Title. Per the attendees of the show, Guevara came out with her girlfriend Tay Conti and received tremendous boos from the crowd.

Scorpio’s allies, Ethan Page and Dan Lambert interfered in the match which led to Conti getting involved. Conti’s involvement then brought out Paige VanZant as the duo brawled at ringside. Acting as a heel, Guevara ended up winning the win with a low blow. The boos from the audience significantly increased after this move.
Thus, AEW Battle of the Belts II taping has marked Guevara’s third reign with the TNT Title. Sky defeated Guevera on the March 9 edition of AEW Dynamite to start his first title reign. He held the title for 37 recognized days before dropping it back to Guevera.
