Since arriving at the All Elite Wrestling, there have been speculations about Saraya fka Paige possibly coming back to in-ring action. There’s a reason why the Tony Khan-owned promotion has signed her to a lucrative contract and that obviously involves in-ring capacity. The same was teased after what transpired on this week’s AEW Dynamite on TBS Network.
During the three-year anniversary episode, Dr. Britt Baker shut down the rumors of Saraya possibly returning to the ring from a career-ending neck injury with the following comments,
“I feel morally obligated to answer the question that everyone has been asking – and the answer is no. Saraya will not be wrestling in AEW. The doctors have not medically cleared her to compete. So let’s ship her off in some bubble wrap and send her on her way!”

Moments after these comments, the former Paige in WWE acted as the manager for the team of AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm, Athena, and Willow Nightingale as they picked up a win over Jamie Hayter, Serena Deeb, and Penelope Ford in a Trios Match.
Saraya superkicked one of the allies of Dr. Britt Baker
After the babyfaces got the win, Baker got into the ring to confront Saraya. The two then came to blows by throwing punches at each other as the fans at Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C. came unglued. The segment ended with Saraya delivering a superkick on Rebel as Baker kept on looking from the ringside area.
The IWC has since been discussing about the potential in-ring return of the former WWE Divas Champion as she got physical in a ring after almost five years. The last time she competed in a match was at a WWE Live Event that took place on December 26 in New York. After receiving a kick from the back by Sasha Banks, her neck injury was diagnosed by the doctors, putting her into retirement.
It now appears that Saraya could indeed be returning to the ring in the near future as her AEW run has just begun. After her WWE contract expired in June 2022, she previously implied being on the verge of being cleared by doctors but never openly discussed her in-ring future in during interview sessions.
