AEW Dynasty 2024 already had the world title match announced as the main event of the card and it was made official with a contract signing segment during the latest episode of Dynamite. Featuring the champion and the challenger, the segment essentially proved how violent these contract signings can be in professional wrestling.

In the main event segment of Dynamite’s April 3 episode, AEW World Champion Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland had a Contract Signing session to make their title match official for AEW Dynasty 2024. Joe said Swerve was making a career-defining mistake because he was going to beat Swerve down so badly that Swerve would be mentally scarred like he left Diddy’s party too late.

Swerve said he wanted a championship moment all of his life and has dreamt of this moment because he never believed that it was actually possible. His destination has been filled with obstacles and roadblocks, and at AEW Dynasty 2024, that moment would become a reality.

AEW Dynamite: Title Defense Set For Adam Copeland On April 10 Episode

A brawl broke out between the two of them, with Joe busting Swerve open. Swerve flipped a switch and went after Joe with a chain but the latter was able to seize the weapon from his rival and blast him with it. This led Swerve to get busted open and he then also signed the contract with his own blood.

Swerve also laughed at Joe and said if this is all Joe can do then he will be taking the World Title from him at AEW Dynasty 2024. A furious Joe then headed back into the ring and slammed Swerve through the table. This was certainly not the first time that Swerve had some non-PG blood moment on AEW TV as previously featured in the infamous Texas Death Match with “Hangman” Adam Page at Full Gear.
