AEW Revolution 2022 is likely to be the second PPV event for next year from the All Elite Wrestling promotion, as per the recent updates. We assume the initial date and location for hosting that show has now been scouted.

AEW Revolution 2022 pay-per-view was rumored to take place in early March from Orlando, Florida as per the earlier reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Then on Dynamite, it was announced that the show will take place on Sunday, March 6 at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida. The Amway Center is a venue mostly that has mostly been used for WWE tapings. For the better part of last year, this venue was also used for ThunderDome tapings for several months.

AEW Revolution 2022: Date And Location Revealed For PPV 1

The exact date for AEW Revolution 2022 was up in the air for some time since an Eric Church concert has already been booked at the Amway Arena on the potential weekend date of the PPV, Friday, March 4. This would prevent AEW from hosting the standard live go-home edition of Rampage from the same arena on the prior Friday night (assuming that the PPV would go on Friday 6th).

AEW Revolution has become an annual tradition

The inaugural AEW Revolution pay-per-view was held on February 29 of last year from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The headliner match saw Jon Moxley defeating Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship. The 2021 edition of the PPV event took place on March 7 from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida which became their first PPV outing on a Sunday night. It was headlined by Kenny Omega defending the AEW World Title against Jon Moxley in an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch.

According to the recent reports from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, a rematch between Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa is being planned for next year. This one is in the works for a long time and is likely to take place on AEW Revolution 2022 with a gimmick attached to it. This match could be promoted as the biggest AEW Women’s Division match in history.

AEW Battle of The Belts was recently announced for January 8 from the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. If this one gets hosted as a Saturday night TNT supercard event then AEW Revolution 2022 would be the inaugural pay-per-view event.
