WWE Smackdown Superstars, Natalya, and Liv Morgan have been involved in a championship feud for the past couple of weeks. They’ve also created a buzz online after videos surfaced on the internet from a recent WWE live event. It was shown that Natalya digested the decisive pinfall of the match to allow the new SmackDown Women’s Champion to retain.
The surprising thing was that Nattie simply got right back up on her feet, talk some trash to Liv Morgan and then leave the ring. Many felt it was a weird thing to do for a veteran like Nattie not to sell the finisher delivered by the champion. For a bit, it also seemed disrespectful and it also let the fans doubt whether there have been issues between the two of them.
Liv Morgan Super Popular As Reigning WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the bygone match-finish. It was noted that there have been some issues that are yet to be out. But, no such perceived heat between Natalya and Liv Morgan exists. Nothing in specific about the issue was dictated but it was cleared up which is said to be “over and done with.”

“So, that was the situation in Sacramento. You know, I had a couple of reports from Sacramento, and nobody really brought it up, so it wasn’t like most of the crowd, you know, reacted to it in any way or thought it was unusual, but I did see the clip and it was a little unusual. She did just get up and leave and, you know, it’s something that you wouldn’t expect,” Meltzer stated in his report.
The match that took place at the Sacramento Live Event also had Ronda Rousey in the mix to set up the Triple Threat. After digesting the Oblivion finisher and the pinfall, Natalya immediately got back to her knees, said something unusual to Liv Morgan, and then left. After fans speculated that Nattie was upset with the champion, she also responded with the following on Twitter,
“I’m breaking character right now, but I actually said THANKYOU. If you must know.”
At present, Natalya is booked to challenge Liv Morgan in a Champion’s Contender’s match on Smackdown, this week. We will see whether the no-selling controversy from Nattie affects the upcoming match in any way, this Friday.
