Bianca Belair has officially become the new number-one contender for the SmackDown Women’s Championship held by Becky Lynch. The post-SummerSlam edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX opened with the new champion coming out to the ring to discuss her big SummerSlam return and the quick title win over Belair.
Becky Lynch mentioned that it feels to be back on top. When she gave up the RAW Women’s Title last year it felt like she was giving up a part of her identity but since then she’s been working hard every day to get back where she was. She does have a new life now, and a new set of priorities but we might have no idea how deadly she’s about to be from now onwards.

Becky Lynch also addressed the backlash among the fans over how she defeated Belair at SummerSlam. For that, she’s sorry but for absolutely nothing. In the WWE, it’s all about the timing, and how she had been waiting for that moment for a long time. Belair then interrupted and said she’s not here to make excuses but she was also not cool with what happened at the pay-per-view.
Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch rematch set
Belair mentioned working hard, too for a long time only for Becky Lynch to erase it all in 26 seconds. Hence, she wanted a rematch for the title. She was interrupted by Zelina Vega, who also wanted a title shot. Then they were interrupted by Carmella, who believed that she deserved another title shot. Then Liv Morgan came out with the same pledge.

Becky Lynch was in no mood of defending, on the show as she simply left the ring. A brawl then broke out between Belair, Morgan, Carmella, and Vega which ended with Morgan standing tall. Then a number-one Contender’s Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match took place with these four names performing in it.
Belair pinned Vega for the first elimination with the KOD finisher while Morgan pinned Carmella for the second elimination by the ObLivion move. Then Belair finally pinned Morgan to win the match and become the number-one contender for the Women’s Title. WWE has not announced when Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch rematch will take place. Chances are high that these two might collide at Extreme Rules.
