WWE had recent plans to turn Bray Wyatt into the top babyface star of the SmackDown brand and they have adopted the creative plan, exactly like that. As a result, Roman Reigns has become a heel superstar as he literally stole the Universal Championship from the former champion at Payback 2020 PPV.

PW Insider has now confirmed that WWE’s plan is to use The Fiend Bray Wyatt as a babyface, going forward. Plus, the idea is that he will be the top babyface on the entire SmackDown roster replacing Roman Reigns. Being the poster boy of the company, a replacement for his position is definitely needed and it seems the company does have some backup plans.
Roman Reigns has officially turned heel by joining forces with Paul Heyman after his return at SummerSlam 2020. Since SmackDown’s debut on FOX, Reigns was the biggest name the on SmackDown brand. But his long absence was the reason why WWE needed a replacement in Bray Wyatt. On a related note, there’re too many top heels are present on the roster with Reigns, AJ Styles, and Braun Strowman all acting as villains.

So, at this point, it looks like at least a couple of names from SmackDown will be shifted to Raw when the next WWE Draft takes place in October. Based on the creative plan, the assumption is that Reigns, AJ, or Strowman could be top contenders to get drafted on Raw while Bray Wyatt is the most likely to stay on Raw as the top babyface.

It was also noted by the source that Bray Wyatt’s counterpart on the female roster could be Naomi. A big push is coming towards her due to the #NaomiDeservesBetter trend. She has already secured a pinfall win over SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley on last week’s show. She’s expected to face Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Clash Of Champions.
However, with Bayley turning on Sasha Banks, it’s pretty obvious that these two will also get involved in a feud where the latter name will be featuring as a top babyface on the female roster. Thereby Naomi’s push isn’t confirmed at this point. If Sasha remains out of action due to the storyline injury then only Naomi could get into the title picture on a temporary basis.
