Britt Baker started her wrestling career in the WWE by participating in the Mae Young Classic tournament. Since then, she worked very hard to improve herself in order to become one of the best female wrestlers available in professional wrestling. Of course, All Elite Wrestling gave her the opportunity to make it big by letting her be the face of the Women’s division capitalizing on which she became the longest-reigning champion of the company.

This happened in a gradual manner where fans initially rejected to be a heel figure on the roster. But things changed in an organic manner as she managed to establish herself as one of the homegrown talents in the AEW. For those who don’t know, Britt Baker also had a dual career as a legit dentist, but that side of hers as a doctor is no longer intact.

The top AEW female wrestler did her certification at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and she also had regular practice in the initial days with the AEW. But while speaking on the Jon Chuckery Show, Britt Baker also recently confirmed taking “a small step back’ from dentistry over the past few months.

Britt Baker wants to be a true face for All Elite Wrestling

Britt Baker sounded very clear in her statements about being one of the pillar figures of All Elite Wrestling where the company can depend on her. She didn’t want to sit in her chamber if AEW needed her for any TV taping or media event purpose at the 11th hour. This doesn’t mean that she has completely moved out of the dental profession but for the time being, she’s taken a step back.

“With the ever changing and every growing schedule with AEW, it was getting really hard to manage because I don’t want to be calling off last minute at the dental office all the time if Tony [Tony Khan] needs me for something for a TV taping or to go do media or an event,” Britt Baker continued.

“I hold myself accountable to be available for those types of events because I’m one of the faces of AEW and I want to be available for everything like that. Unfortunately, that means…I don’t want to say closing the door, but I’m definitely taking a step back from dentistry.”

The former AEW Women’s World Champion still feels responsible for keeping track of her old patients whenever her schedule permits. But due to this step away, she doesn’t take appointments from new patients. Britt Baker also noted how it has become tricky over time to identify the real patient or a fan who visits her just to have an autograph or picture.
