Two years ago today, one of the most brutal matches in the history of the Women’s Division, took place between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. While remembering that extraordinary bout at WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view 2018 edition, the latter one decided to take a shot to the UFC Hall of Famer who has all the rightful reasons to do so.

The Survivor Series non-title match saw Ronda Rousey defeat Charlotte Flair by disqualification in the penultimate match of the night. The match was ruled a DQ by the referee when Rousey tried to attack Flair at ringside, but Flair used a kendo stick as the weapon to counter. The match ended in favor of the-then Raw Women’s Champion, right there but the brawl continued.

After the match, Charlotte Flair continued hammering away Ronda Rousey with kendo sticks and a steel chair. Flair hit the Natural Selection on her opponent and then stomped the chair on her neck to end the segment. It was thought that perhaps The Baddest Woman On The Planet picked up an injury on that night but she avoided having any real bruises.

On the two-year anniversary of this milestone match, Charlotte Flair took to Twitter to fire a shot at Ronda Rousey, saying that the Survivor Series match was the night Rousey stopped wanting to be a pro-wrestler. This was a direct shot to the former UFC Bantamweight Champion who recently expressed her disgust on coming back to professional wrestling, ever.

“The night Ronda stopped wanting to be a wrestler, IMO. [princess/queen emoji],” this was Flair’s exact reaction in response to WWE’s tweet on the match. Ronda Rousey has not responded to Flair’s tweet as of this writing.

Ronda Rousey hasn’t been present in the WWE since WrestleMania 35 main event in 2019, where Becky Lynch pinned her to win a Triple Threat Match over Rousey and Flair to become the RAW Women’s Champion and the SmackDown Women’s Champion. Flair entered that match with the blue brand Women’s Title while Rousey went in as the red brand champion and both dropped their belts to Lynch.

Charlotte Flair is also out of action from WWE in-ring competition since mid-June of this year as she went through elective surgery. There’s no update on when she would be back. Even no update is available on Ronda Rousey’s return, as well. She’s been speculated to return in time for WrestleMania 37 season while Flair could be back by the end of this year. However, none of these return plans have been confirmed.
