Charlotte Flair and Asuka have a lot of history with each other which is pretty obvious considering that they are the two cornerstone figures of WWE Women’s Evolution. WrestleMania is the showcase of the immortals where these two first met in a match. Dreams are made on such huge nights and one of them was created when The Queen met the one who had an undefeated streak going on.
Talking about the grandest stage of them all, Charlotte Flair credited Asuka for helping her get to the next level at the show of shows. During the latest WWE Network Day Of special, the genetically superior athlete discussed her new team with Asuka and what she means to her career. Flair credited Asuka for their match at WrestleMania 34 to be one of the greatest.

Charlotte Flair Thanks Asuka For Taking Her To Next Level
“I don’t think I’ve really talked about this, but when Asuka and I wrestled at WrestleMania in New Orleans she had nothing to prove. I had everything to prove, and I felt like that moment with her took me to the next level and I will always be in debt to her.”
It was the first time in WWE that Asuka suffered a loss and that came from none other than Charlotte Flair. The Queen pushed herself absolutely to the limit to break the streak in a match that was critically acclaimed. Many believe that the match from WrestleMania 34 was overshadowed by the stacked card. This was the match that really stole the show.
Moving on, Charlotte Flair and Asuka had several encounters in the past over Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships. But that first-ever match remains a standout and the ten-time Women’s Champion is very much proud of what they have produced at the biggest stage of WrestleMania. They are likely to be part of more encounters in the future.
Charlotte Flair returned to action at the 2020 WWE TLC pay-per-view event and made her ThunderDome debut as the mystery partner for RAW Women’s Champion Asuka, replacing Lana. Flair and Asuka then defeated Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler to become the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions which was sort of a full-circling to their career.
