On this past episode of WWE SmackDown, Chelsea Green debuted on the main roster after a long wait. This wasn’t done on a high note due to an unfortunate injury she ended up suffering. She got inserted into a Fatal 4-Way Survivor Series qualifier with Natalya, Tamina Snuka, and Liv Morgan. This was done as she had a connection with backstage producer Adam Pearce.
During the match, Chelsea Green was kicked off the apron by Liv Morgan about a minute into the match. She stayed outside throughout the rest of the match creating some confusion. It was later confirmed she broke her left wrist and headed to the hospital shortly after. While previously there have been some speculations about this being a kayfabe injury, but it’s not.

Chelsea Green Gives Injury And Surgery Update After WWE Smackdown
It seems that Chelsea Green is experiencing another twist in her WWE story. She sent out an Instagram post from a local medical facility in Orlando, Florida. She confirmed her injury was legitimate, and she isn’t much thrilled about it, obviously. But then again, her thumbs up confirms that she’d be back soon.
“Just another twist in my @wwe story tonight!
If you wondered where I went after my entrance, here’s your answer… another broken arm. Nothing I haven’t dealt with before! I’ll be back before you know it!”

Ringside News then provided some exclusive news about Chelsea Green’s debut match. While many believed that the former NXT star had a chance of winning that match, it wasn’t. WWE didn’t schedule her to win that fatal four-way match and the win was booked for Liv Morgan, all the way.
This is despite the revelation that Chelsea Green was able to convince Adam Pearce to make a place for her in that Survivor Series qualifier while making the debut. A tenured member of the creative team further confirmed that Liv Morgan was slated to win that match and she did. No changes were made to that match after the debutant was injured.
The source also wanted to know why Chelsea Green’s debut was so cliche who was also booked to lose. A typical response was received which they cited as “another example of how awful the creative is under Bruce Prichard.” There is “no effort to get people over, just bodies to fill TV time.”
It’s not confirmed at this point when Chelsea Green will be cleared to return after suffering this bump in her career which already had a slow pace. The surgery will force her to sit out of action and let her wait for another opportunity. She can only hope to get a good booking while making the return.
