Several months have passed since Chelsea Green has been gone from the WWE. She’s among all those names in the company who were released due to the COVID-19 related budget cuts. It happened for all the good reasons since she was literally sitting out of action for almost two and a half years. Now, she could be exploring all the options available outside the WWE.

Chelsea Green appeared to be a major success in TNA. The Hot Mess character was a major success as she ended up becoming a former Impact Wrestling Knockout Champion. But then she left Impact to try things out in WWE. She wasn’t given a ton of television time before she was called up to the WWE main roster.

Then Paul Heyman was nixed from the Raw creative head’s spot and Chelsea Green wasn’t used, at all. She was sent back for another stint in the black and gold brand and then she got the second call-up on the main roster. After months of waiting, she debuted on Smackdown, got injured, and then released. As you can see, things were never smooth for her during her WWE career.

Chelsea Green was released when she was preparing for a return

Moreover, the release shocked her as she was preparing for her comeback when WWE fired her. Chelsea Green recently spoke to Busted Open Radio, to go on to detail about her WWE. The entire experience in the WWE brought out frustrations around her. Here’s what Chelsea Green had to offer about her release from the WWE,

“My arm had been fine, I had been cleared for about two months. I had been showing up to TV, ready to go, with my gear in my car. So when that call came, it was about three days after I had actually contacted office to say ‘hey, surprise! It’s me again. I have another idea. I’m coming to TV on Friday to pitch it to you guys.’”

“So, I had no clue. I think my initial reaction was that I had no reaction and I just got down to business.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
