Chelsea Green was released from WWE after literally sitting out during her entire career with the biggest pro-wrestling promotion. Before even having a chance to do much, she was let go with the excuse of COVID-19 related budget cut. Prior to that, she had the opportunity to make only one entrance in the ThunderDome during her debut on Smackdown. Then she was injured and that was it for her WWE career.
Since after that departure, Chelsea Green talked about her tenure in a number of interviews. That was a shock for her as she tried very hard. Despite the denials, the former Knockouts Champion never backed down from pitching ideas to the company’s creative heads. It eventually made the official frustrated who has some banned rules. One of those was to keep any kind of associations with an independent circuit.

Chelsea Green tricked WWE for attending ALL IN 2018
Chelsea Green revealed she was booked on the show after reaching out to one of the members of the Elite, Cody Rhodes. Shortly after appearing at All In, she was reported to have arrived in the WWE. She revealed during the conversation that she had actually signed with WWE earlier in the summer but didn’t inform the same to the WWE to make sure she could appear on All In.
“I had actually signed my WWE deal in June or July of that year, and All In was coming up in September,” Chelsea Green said. “So I knew I was not going to miss this opportunity of a lifetime to be on the show. So I told WWE that I couldn’t start at the Performance Center until October.
Now, I didn’t tell them why and I just didn’t make it a big deal. I just point blank said, ‘I just wanted to let you know that I have to fulfill bookings and I can’t start until October.’ But really, it was because I was booked for All In and I refused to give up my spot.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
