Ending weeks of rumors and speculations, CM Punk has officially become All Elite! The former WWE Champion made his big debut on this week’s AEW Rampage: “The First Dance. This was just the second episode of AEW’s second weekly show that took place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. So it was a perfect place for the debut to happen.
CM Punk kicked off this week’s episode to a massive pop from his hometown crowd. He ended up hugging a bunch of fans and also even jumped into the crowd on his way to the ring.
“You guys really know how to make a kid feel like Britt Baker in Pittsburgh,” were his first set of comments. He then confirmed more appearances with the AEW in the future while taking a sit in the middle of the ring in his trademark style to show off his new shirt.

CM Punk said that he’s back because he wants to face the young talent of the AEW roster who has the passion he did as a younger wrestler. He then ended up calling out Darby Allin who was watching the show alongside Sting, up in the rafters to listen. The former Straight Edge Leader said that he wanted to help Allin, and in the process, he wanted a match with him.
CM Punk will wrestle at AEW All Out
He proceeded to say that there’s nothing more dangerous Allin can do than wrestle CM Punk at AEW All Out PPV scheduled on September 5 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. That match was then officially announced for the upcoming pay-per-view event.
Of course @DarbyAllin is here to see @CMPunk in the flesh.

Last month, several sources broke the news of CM Punk negotiating for an in-ring return with AEW. Those reports appeared to be true with the latest appearance in AEW which was touted to be the biggest surprise in the company’s history. Punk’s last appearance in a ring occurred at the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble. He was later released from the company in June of that year.
Apart from CM Punk’s return, the following matches went down during this week’s AEW Rampage,
– Jurassic Express defeated Private Party (Jurassic Express will now face the winners of Lucha Brothers vs. Varsity Blonds in the Tag Team Eliminator)
– Jade Cargill defeated Kiera Hogan
– Jon Moxley defeated Daniel Garcia. 2.0 tag team attacked Moxley after the match, but they got taken out by Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Darby Allin, and Sting.
