The status of WWE Raw tag team championships is in jeopardy for quite sometimes. There have been injury problems that caused difficulties while setting up the title match for the last few weeks.

Heading into the Elimination Chamber PPV, we do need a number one contender for these titles so that the champions can defend it.

Till date, the title scene revolved around The Bar and the newly formed team between Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan. These two won the titles back on December 25th show of WWE Raw from Sheamus and Cesaro.

But, Jordan picked up an injury, right after that which is why they have to drop it in their first defense at the Royal Rumble PPV event.

It was thought that Jason Jordan would recover from the concussion in quick time and will be able to claim the rematch. But, that was not the case as Rollins had to team up with Roman Reigns, two weeks ago.

Jordan messed it up, once again by interfering in the middle of the match which was the last chance for Rollins-Reigns.

So, going forward, The Bar is still waiting for their next challenger whom they would take on at the Elimination Chamber PPV.

Since tonight marks the last episode prior to the Raw-exclusive PPV, it is evident that Kurt Angle will make an announcement regarding the same. WWE.com hinted about which team will get the opportunity.

According to the update, none other than The Revival will be the one who is going to reserve the number one contender’s spot on WWE Raw. This team is on a roll ever since coming back from an injury suffered by Dawson.

Last week, they defeated Gallows and Anderson to keep the momentum by their side.

Hence, the comments from the official website suggested that The Revival is the most likely one to get the shot at Elimination Chamber,

“Picking up tremendous steam on The Road to WrestleMania, The Revival defeated former Raw Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson this past Monday night on Raw.”

“Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson call themselves “Top Guys,” but they won’t fully convince the WWE Universe that they’re deserving of that moniker until they snare the Raw Tag Team Champions. Are reigning tandem titleholders Sheamus & Cesaro keeping a close eye on these throwback competitors?”

It will be an interesting feud between these two teams considering that both of them would be heels by nature. The Top Guys were a bonafide tag team while being on NXT and brought that aggressive nature while coming on the main roster, too.

Hence, this title shot is much-deserved for them.
