Daniel Bryan Wife Brie Bella & Daniel Bryan Family ∼ Daniel Bryan is perhaps the most celebrated pro-wrestling figure of this generation. WWE used to effectively to become the most popular figure of this generation or perhaps of all time. The support he receives from the audience day in and out is unbelievable. Even The Rock, John Cena or Stone Cold Steve Austin could have hardly manage to receive this much love in their career.
So, it’s no surprise that Daniel Bryan achieved almost all the accolades that one superstar wishes to get. He is a Grand Slam winner in the company. It means that he was able to capture all the prestigious titles from the men’s roster including the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, United States and Intercontinental Championship and the world tag team gold.
Daniel Bryan family is also a proud thing for him. He is part of the renowned Bella family members who are mainstream celebrities. His wife Brie Bella is one of the most gorgeous women on the planet and part of the infamous Bella Twins of WWE. These two are the happiest couples and now proud parents of a daughter.
Before going into Daniel Bryan family details, we want to take a look at the colorful career of the GOAT. Bryan Lloyd Danielson is his full name who came to the world 22nd May 1981 in a middle-class family residing in Aberdeen, Washington, DC. His parents started to live separately at a young age affecting his childhood. He had to go through a tough period about which we have heard on the Total Divas Show.
He started wrestling from this young age as it would distract him from the unhappy family life. They also have to deal with the tough financial condition as his father worked as a logger. His mother had to support the household working as a therapist. He also had an elder sister named Billie Sue. Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella confessed on numerous occasions to have an extremely disturbed childhood due to parents being separated.
Daniel Bryan family was not able to give him the security of a happy life by any means. So he made up his mind to be a professional wrestler and travel all over the world. After getting over with college days, he started learning professional wrestling from Dean Malenko’s wrestling school. It closed in 1999 forcing him to join Shawn Michaels’ wrestling academy known as Texas Wrestling Academy.
He was fortunate enough to get a call from the then WWF and sign a contract in 2000. He picked up a moniker of ‘American Dragon’ courtesy of William Regal who used to be his mentor during this time. It was a short time stint that came to an end within a short span of time. But he was able to capture the Light Heavyweight Championship during this period competing regularly at Memphis Championship Wrestling.
Daniel Bryan has to move to Japan after WWF released him from the contract. Daniel wrestled in Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling in Japan for sometimes. He wrestled for NJPW promotion for quite sometimes under the dragon gimmick. The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship belonged to him with Curry Man.
Thereafter, Ring of Honor was the next destination that gave him the initial fame. During one of his matches, he wrestled 80 minutes, non-stop. Homicide was the biggest rival of Bryan Danielson whom he defeated in a steel cage match in 2005. This helped him to capture the ROH World Championship in the same year. He had the longest reign with it that continued for 15 months. Homicide took it away from him in a brutal match that sustained Bryan an injury.
After being away from the wrestling scene for quite sometimes, Daniel Bryan re-entered ROH in 2007. He had a few feuds during this tint that continued till 2009. One of them was against Austin Aries. WWE signed Daniel Bryan again under their wings causing a farewell tour for ROH. Aries defeated him to end the ROH stint.
The pro-wrestling world came to know who Bryan Danielson by that time. He was one of the most incredible talents of this generation. But as per WWE norms, he had to begin from complete zero. As we know, Daniel Bryan started as a rookie in 2010 under the wings of The Miz! This started a marquee feud for him from day one that is still going on.
Nevertheless, Daniel Bryan competed in his first match on WWE Raw to win it against The A-lister. He also won the United States Championship from his mentor within weeks of the debut. He managed to capture the attention of the crowd from day one. Plus, he also met Brie Bella at this point that started that extended Daniel Bryan family. There was a segment on Raw where both Nikki and Brie Bella kissed him. Apparently, this was the beginning of the relationship.
WWE creative team did not let him look backward from this point as he moved on to capture the Money in the Bank briefcase. Later this made him the World Heavyweight Championship too. In 2012, we had seen a strange partnership between Kane and Daniel Bryan forming Team Hell No. The team won tag team titles pushing the latter one’s popularity to the maximum limit.
This only grew following up a rivalry with The Authority. At one point, he even replaced the franchise player John Cena who was out due to injury. This culminated the ultimate Wrestlemania moment for him in 2014. It was the night where he defeated Triple H in the opening contest to go on to the main event of the show. The night turned into Yes-O-Mania after he defeated Randy Orton and Batista to capture the world championship.
The dream journey for him continued as Daniel Bryan got married to Brie Bella just in the same week. They had a fairytale wedding officially getting included to the Bella family which has now become an extension of Daniel Bryan family. He could not ask a better wife than younger Bella who stood up to her husband in all the tough times.
Just after days of the marriage ceremony, Daniel Bryan family lost their father. At the same time, Bryan started to feel something wrong around his neck. After diagnosis, doctors detected a concussion that might cause even paralysis later in his career. So they suggested immediate surgery.
Daniel Bryan had to go through several operations during 2014. Brie Bella supported him mentally during these times. She has already started the Total Divas reality shows that could take care of the financial crisis. A full on support from Bella helped her husband to come back in 2015. He won the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania 31 only to forfeit it.
The neck injury became extremely worse forcing him to retire in the very next year. This was one of the saddest days of pro-wrestling where everybody’s favorite had to say goodbye. But the positive part was that Brie Bella always encouraged him to be in good shape. There was a slight chance that he could make a comeback by getting cleared by renowned doctors.
The entire Bella and Daniel Bryan family stood by his side as we have seen on the Total Divas show. Meanwhile, Brie Bella became pregnant and gave birth to an angel named Birdie Joe Danielson. Her sweet face encouraged her father, even more, to get back into the ring. Finally, the day came at Wrestlemania 34 when WWE allowed the former world champion to come back to competition.
Daniel Bryan family, as well as the entire pro-wrestling universe, could not be more happy with the news. Currently, the leader of the YES nation is at the top of the Smackdown roster alongside AJ Styles. It’s worth to note that Brie Bella also returned to in-ring competition earlier this year getting over from the pregnancy period. She managed to become a role model for the new generation that moms can wrestle, too.
In fact, Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella wrestled in a match against The Miz and Maryse at Hell in a Cell 2018. This fulfilled one of the dreams becoming true for the Daniel Bryan family. Brie’s twin sister, Nikki Bella is also an integral part of their household. She spent a lot of times thereafter breaking up with John Cena.
Together, Nikki and Brie Bella have become entrepreneurs. They have two reality TV shows on the E Network, Total Divas and Total Bellas. They own the wine brand named Belle Radici. Plus, they opened a clothing line, Birdiebee, named after Birdie. These two are also the franchise players of the WWE brand.
A bonus news for the fans is that Daniel Bryan family could extend to significant proportion as we can expect a new member. The Bella family has already informed us about Brie Bella getting a second baby in the near future. Once Brie gets over with her wrestling stint and bids adieu to in-ring works, we can expect Birdie Joe to become an elder sister, sooner.
