WWE Hall of Famer Edge will make his next appearance on WWE TV during next Friday’s edition of SmackDown. The October 1 episode will mark the first Draft while this will also bring together the fallouts from the Extreme Rules 2021 pay-per-view event. Also, from that night onward, WWE tends to begin the builds for the next PPV set from Saudi Arabia.

Going by the storyline, Edge is also booked to appear on that PPV while dragging his feud against Seth Rollins. He has not appeared on TV since being carried out in an ambulance following his match against Seth Rollins, two weeks ago. It was primarily seen to be an attempt to write off the WWE legend but it apparently wasn’t.

Edge Confirmed For WWE Return On Night I Of 2021 Draft 1

Over on last week’s SmackDown, Seth Rollins issued an ultimatum to Edge, and he once again challenged him to respond on this week’s episode from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In an update to the situation, the Rated-R Superstar took to Twitter during SmackDown and issued a response to Rollins.

“I’ll see you at #SmackDown next week,” Edge noted while Rollins responded by saying, “Well, well…” WWE has also confirmed the appearance on social media.

Edge vs. Seth Rollins III should happen at Crown Jewel

It now appears that Edge vs. Seth Rollins rubber match is all set for next month, perhaps at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October 21. The eleven-time world champion won their bout at SummerSlam while he lost to Rollins on the September 10 Super SmackDown episode from Madison Square Garden. Rollins’ Stomp appeared to be much fatal for him in a kayfabe perspective.

Edge Confirmed For WWE Return On Night I Of 2021 Draft 2

Recent reports claimed that it was a way to keep Edge off WWE TV for a couple of months. But with the next Saudi Arabia PPV inching closer, WWE needs their star-power, together and the legendary wrestler is set to make one more in-ring appearance. Confirmations regarding the match are likely to arrive, next week.

One of the all-time greats in the WWE, Edge is still acting as one of the mainstays in the company since his miraculous return, last year. Following his win against Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam in a singles match, a rumor started floating that he could be traded to Raw. But that won’t be happening until his third bout against Rollins would be over.
