Edge returned to WWE after an absence of nearly nine-year from the scene. He’s one of the wisest pro-wrestlers who was missed all these years from the squared circle. He re-entered the picture on the 2020 Royal Rumble to bring out a great example of determination and grit. Later he signed a new contract to be back with WWE for another three years.

His comeback story witnessed a sudden halt as he injured himself at Backlash. The Rated R Superstar is currently recovering from the triceps injury that took place during the re-shoots of Edge and Randy Orton taping The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever. But he is still continuing the ongoing storyline with The Viper.

In the meantime, the eleven-time world champion spilled the beans on his retirement planning. During a conversation with Booker T’s Hall Of Fame Radio Show, Edge discussed his actual plans for retirement. He admitted to being “really stubborn” about this idea where he wants to finish things on his own terms. This is something he wants to stick with which he couldn’t afford, the last time around.

“I want to finish it on my terms. I’m really stubborn on that in this run, I guess. I really want to, with this, try and show that selling still sells. I feel like that’s been lost. Don’t get me wrong, I’m guilty, too. You can watch the TLC matches and say ‘but, but, but!’ And I get it. I was young and I was there and I did it. I was always told by the Steve Austins, by the ‘Takers of the world, ‘hey man, if you just slowed down and tried this and that, and this and that.’ When I started doing that, that’s when I started making real money.”

The Ultimate Opportunist is pretty determined to finish his career on a good note now that he’s back to complete the unfulfilled tasks from his professional wrestling career. It’s good to know that Edge still has the etch within him that could extend his career to a big extent. It’s pretty encouraging considering that he’s 47-year-old.

Edge and Randy Orton were set for a match at SummerSlam that could culminate the bad blood between these two. The loss suffered at Backlash set up the groundworks for the third match of their feud that has to be pushed back due to the torn triceps injury. Now, we wait when the legendary wrestler will get cleared by the WWE doctors.
