WWE has officially announced the Elimination Chamber 2022 which is going to be their Premium Live Event in February. Following Royal Rumble 2022, it will serve as the next big WWE Network Specials for next month and the show will take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
WWE started hosting one of their two yearly big events in Saudi Arabia before Wrestlemania starting with 2020. After COVID-19 forced the company to miss the tradition, it appears that the schedule is back in the WWE PPV calendar. Going by the looks, Elimination Chamber 2022 is also likely to be the final premium live event before WWE hosts Wrestlemania 38 in April. In that case, there won’t be any WWE Network Specials in March similar to last year’s December.

Elimination Chamber 2022 to take place at a new venue
Billed as the world’s largest pillarless Superdome, the venue will serve as a great host to the special event. A media report from last year noted that the dome can hold 5200 vehicles, but that note didn’t include the number of seats. WWE previously hosted their shows in Jeddah from the King Abdullah International Stadium.
“The Elimination Chamber 2022 show complements the commitment of the General Entertainment Authority to provide the most famous international events and entertainment shows. This show was preceded by several previous partnerships with WWE to present international shows in the kingdom, which achieved remarkable local and international success, including the recent WWE Crown Jewel show in Riyadh Season 2021 and WWE Super ShowDown in the previous Riyadh Season in early 2020,” the note in WWE’s announcement included.
WWE and the Saudi General Sports Authority announced in 2018 a 10-year strategic multiplatform partnership to support the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, Kingdom’s social and economic reform program. Per the deal, WWE was bound to host two shows in the country, per year but the COVID-19 pandemic forced to miss one shows each in 2020 and 2021. Elimination Chamber 2022 will be the seventh overall event in that partnership program.
