Since her departure from Impact Wrestling, there have been a lot of speculations about the career of Maria Kanellis. Many believed that she will be utilized by AEW as one of the officials for the women’s roster. Proving those rumors true, she indeed debuted on AEW TV during the October 14 episode of AEW Rampage.
After returning on AEW Dynamite on October 12, the former Chairman of The Pinnacle, Shawn Spears reunited with his old friends, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) to take on the team of Brian Cage, Kaun, and Toa Liona of The Embassy. After a hard-fought battle, Spears, Harwood, and Wheeler were able to pick up the win but that wasn’t the end of the night.

Just after the main event of Rampage, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and Maria Kanellis-Bennett, collectively known as The Kingdom, made their AEW debut. Maria was quick to introduce herself to the AEW audience and then inform FTR that Taven and Bennett are the real top guys of wrestling to ensue a brawl. The Embassy also joined in on the assault after which AEW TNT Champion Wardlow, and Ring of Honor Television Champion Samoa Joe came out to even the odds.

As noted by the self-proclaimed first lady of the wrestling industry, she’s also spent almost two decades in this business which itself is a huge achievement. Going by her current endeavors, this timespan will only increase. Apart from Maria Kanellis, Brandi Rhodes is the only other name who had worked for the above-mentioned five companies.
