Samoa Joe has become All Elite who is also set for an appearance on AEW Dynamite programming, next week. ROH Supercard of Honor XV was hosted last night, Friday, April 1, 2022, on FITE TV. The event organized by All Elite Wrestling promotion saw new champions crowned, while the former WWE Superstar and The Young Bucks also returned to the ROH promotion.
Samoa Joe made his presence felt by the end of the show by saving Jonathan Gresham and Lee Moriarty from a beatdown from Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt. Lethal turned heel on his longtime friend Matt Sydal earlier in the night and challenged Gresham to a title match immediately after his win over Bandido.

Gresham didn’t buy the challenge, which resulted in Dutt punching Gresham. As the beatdown was taking place, Samoa Joe came out for help. After Moriarty tried to help and failed, the longest reigning ROH World Champion of all time had to make his way down to the ring. Initially, he had a confrontation with Jay Lethal, before choking out Sonjay Dutt in the middle of the ring with his pendant Coquina Clutch submission.

Samoa Joe set for AEW debut
This return to ROH Supercard marked Samoa Joe’s first major wrestling appearance since his NXT Championship victory against Karrion Kross in August 2021. Following this appearance, it was noted how Samoa Joe has become a part of the All Elite Wrestling promotion. ROH announcer Ian Riccaboni noted on commentary that he would be appearing on AEW Dynamite, this Wednesday.
After this, AEW President and new ROH owner Tony Khan also took to Twitter to declare that Samoa Joe is All Elite. Khan further confirmed The Samoan Submission Machine for an appearance on Dynamite.
“It’s official! @SamoaJoe is ALL ELITE! See you on Wednesday at #AEWDynamite! #SupercardOfHonor@AEW,” the tweet reads.
As noted, Samoa had the longest ROH World Title reign of all time at 645 days as he held the strap from March 22, 2003 – December 26, 2004. He is a three-time NXT Champion who also won the United States Title on the main roster.
