Former WWE Raw and NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon was fired by the company on November 4th, 2021. She was demoted to WWE’s developmental brand NXT while being a superstar on the red brand and eventually it led to her release.
Last week, ex WWE Raw superstar, now going by the name of Athena made headlines for opening up about how several female talents in WWE were told to dress like the current NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose.
“We would have to sit through stupid meetings about how we’d have to dress sexy,” the ex WWE Raw brand member said, while remembering her final days in the company. “I remember looking at someone else (and laughing). I cater to children. I’m not about to wear fishnet booty butt-cheek shorts because we had a two-hour meeting about how to dress like Mandy Rose. That’s not fair. Mandy is absolutely phenomenal and an amazing person, but not everyone is Mandy Rose. I started seeing this downslope as soon as Hunter was gone (from NXT).”

WWE Raw superstar has quite the allegation for WWE higher-ups
Now another former WWE Raw superstar spoke on Saturday about the instance former. Lina Fanene (fka Nia Jax) seemingly supported Moon by blasting WWE higher-ups who often tend to objectify women superstars for their own sake.
“It’s a shame, some people deserve to get the opportunity to shine like the star they really are, but unfortunately certain higher ups can never see past their own perverted ways. Too bad, there aren’t the lucky ones who can use blackmail to keep their jobs. *random tweet*” the one-time WWE Raw Women’s Champion posted while not taking a shot at the WWE officials.

Fightful Select dropped details on these specific talent meetings that were held in October of last year when WWE NXT brand was going through a revamp. The source stated that meetings were held by the name of “fashion consulting” and “fashion aid” so that the NXT brand female superstars could be presented as larger-than-life Superstars. Nothing was mentioned whether WWE Raw and Smackdown superstars also received the same edict.
One particular NXT Superstar how noted how people on the NXT roster were encouraged to wear either just their ring gear or an available merchandise shirt which came as a total contrast from before.
