What To Expect From This Week’s WWE Raw: February 26, 2018
Feb 26, 2018 at 4:41 PM
Last night marked the final WWE Raw-exclusive PPV before Wrestlemania 34. We have crowned the number one contender for the Universal Championship and the women’s champion heading into the biggest event of the year. With no more roadblock waiting for the brand, the official storylines for Wrestlemania will begin, tonight.
The storylines around the male and female titles will begin. So, Brock Lesnar will return on tonight’s episode to officially start the Universal title angle against his newly found challenger. He is likely to have a face-off against the contender as the show will emanate from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Roman Reigns won the Elimination Chamber, officially which is why he now holds the right to face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 34. So, the unfinished business from three years ago will pick up, once again with the beast incarnate returning to the show, tonight. We should expect chaos to break out in the show to have a heated start of the main-event rivalry for the biggest event of the year.

Although Alexa Bliss has successfully defended her Women’s Championship at Elimination Chamber, her opponent at Wrestlemania is undecided. Asuka won the Royal Rumble, but she is yet to determine which champion she would like to face. Tonight, she is expected to let her choice known to the world. Meanwhile, Nia Jax might be lurking to get the spotlight just like she did at last night’s PPV event by attacking Asuka.

WWE.com gave an interesting update on John Cena’s status pointing out that his Wrestlemania future is in quite a jeopardy,
“As incredible as John Cena’s performance was in the first-ever Seven Man Elimination Chamber Match, the defeat of the longtime Leader of Cenation left him emotionally conflicted on Raw Talk, where he wondered whether he would make it to WrestleMania this year.”
At this point, this looks like a natural buildup to the inevitable buildup for the match against The Undertaker. While he starts to talk about the uncertainty about his Wrestlemania future, The Deadman is likely to make his way back to WWE Raw. Each year, this time around, this man returns, and we should not be surprised to see it, one more time.
The first storyline angle around Ronda Rousey has begun in the WWE against Stephanie McMahon. After getting hit hard on her face by the WWE Raw commissioner, the former UFC superstar is expected to make her presence on the flagship show, for the first time. This would help to take forward the rift between the two rivals.
Also, a potential feud between Bayley and Sasha Banks is likely to pick up from tonight’s WWE Raw. These two had heated altercations in the recent past including last night’s Elimination Chamber. So, the friendship between these two is likely to fall apart starting the unavoidable rivalry.
