What To Expect From This Week’s WWE Raw: July 10th, 2017

The inaugural edition of the Great Balls of Fire PPV is in the history books of the WWE. From now onwards, we will be looking forward to the second biggest PPV of the year in WWE calendar. In August, WWE will organise the 2017 edition of the Summerslam PPV.

In case you don’t know, this year would mark the 30th anniversary of the biggest event of the summer. From tonight onwards, the storylines for the annual PPV will kick-start as we will witness the fallouts from last night’s PPV. WWE’s tour of Texas will continue with this episode of WWE Raw emanating from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Going forward to the biggest event of the summer, the main focus would be on Brock Lesnar and the Universal title. The beast is advertised to appear on tonight’s show meaning that he will have some announcement for his next title defence at Summerslam.

Now, the question is who is going to be the next challenger for his championship. It should be Braun Strowman since he defeated the self-proclaimed contender, Roman Reigns in an ambulance match, last night. But, we don’t the condition of Strowman, till now. So, first, we need to get an update on him.

The probable scenario for the Universal Championship match is to include multiple superstars into the contest. As per the recent updates, the title match would not be a singles contest at Summerslam. Finn Balor might be included into the scenario apart from Strowman and Reigns.

In the Intercontinental title picture, the feud between The Miz and Dean Ambrose is finally over. The A-lister will now be given with a new opponent for his next title defence. The same can be said for Sheamus and Cesaro, as well now that they are done with the Hardy Boyz.

As for the women’s championship scenario goes, the feud between Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks is certainly not over. The champion escaped last night’s match by walking out of the contest. So, it’s evident that The Boss would demand a rematch on WWE Raw to continue the feud until Summerslam.

Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt gave us a fantastic match with the latter coming up as the winner but the rivalry might not be over yet. We should get another mega bout at the biggest event of the summer. Plus, the storyline of someone sending texts to Kurt Angle should be taken forward for a Summerslam culmination.
