Gable Steveson has officially joined the WWE following Summerslam 2021 and WWE will waste no time in using him, it appears. Following this week’s WWE Draft Night Two edition, he’s now a member of the Monday Night Raw roster in the WWE. That being said, an Olympic Gold Medalist is on his way to WWE’s flagship show. This was a surprising announcement, indeed which could shake things up for WWE’s main-event picture in due course.

WWE announced during the 2021 Draft Night Two on Raw that Gable Steveson has been picked by the RAW brand. This announcement was made by WWE on-screen officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville in the 6th round of the Draft. He was picked along with Carmella in the final round which was a big surprise. The Olympic Gold Medalist comes up with a ton of promise after signing a fresh WWE contract and he can call Raw his home.

Following the big announcement that he was picked by the Raw brand, Gable Steveson simply tweeted out: “Monday Night Raw!!” There is no update available on when he will actually make his debut on Raw. No word is there about whether he was present during this week’s Raw from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, either. But it’s for sure, that he’s prepping up for a huge debut in due course.

WWE made special facilities for Gable Steveson

According to an earlier report by ESPN, WWE is making special arrangements to train Gable Steveson. After signing up him to a multi-year deal, and they are also making sure that he can train in pro wrestling while continuing his obligations with the University of Minnesota.

“They will set up a remote training facility for Steveson near campus where he’ll learn the finer points of in-ring work with WWE coaches.”

Due to the exclusive WWE contract, Gable Steveson will be allowed to defend his NCAA Heavyweight Championship in the coming days as a WWE Superstar. Meanwhile, he will also have access to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. It’ll be interesting to see how the company drags him to their storylines on Raw. While making things, as easy as possible for Gable, it seems the creative process has already begun for him as he received the call-up on Raw.
