Hall Of Famer Molly Holly Reportedly Returning To WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Molly Holly was in attendance of this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. Although she wasn’t used on TV for the evening, she was present, backstage which could lead her to be back with the company in the near future.

Molly Holly was reportedly backstage for a tryout as a producer, according to the reports PWInsider. There are talks going on suggesting that WWE may just rehire her to work behind-the-scenes, at this time. Plus, she could definitely be involved with emerging female talents of the WWE.

Molly Holly was trained by Dean Malenko in 1997 who would go on to have a brief run on the independent scene and in WCW. Then she debuted with WWE in 2000. She would eventually become a two-time WWE Women’s Champion and a one-time WWE Hardcore Champion. She was a regular wrestler in the WWE all the way back in 2005 but has worked several Battle Royal and Royal Rumble matches since then, including the 2020 Women’s Rumble match.

Molly Holly was upset with WWE Hall of Fame ceremony speech

The veteran female wrestler recently worked as a trainer at Ken Anderson’s The Academy wrestling school in Minnesota, along with Shawn Daivari, but the school had to be suspended due to COVID-19. Earlier this year, she was inducted into the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame Class in a ceremony that aired during the Wrestlemania 37 weekend.

According to Molly Holly, she was promised a lengthy speech to deliver at the ceremony. However, WWE cut that speech to only two minutes instead, which made her emotional. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, she explained that she was glad to hear from Hurricane Helms about her WWE Hall of Fame induction. Initially, she was told that she’d have 15 minutes for her speech. But then it was reduced and it was heart-breaking for the former champion.

“When I first — it was really awesome that Hurricane Helms was the one who tells me I was going to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame and the fact that he legitimately, for real got choked up and he was super proud of me and that was really, really special so I love that moment,” Molly Holly said. “But the behind the scenes of after that is that I was told I’d have about 15 minutes to give a speech so I spent a lot of time and had three friends of mine that are professional writers help me and I practiced it for like 60 hours.”
