All Elite Wrestling signed Harley Cameron to a contract, last year who helped increase the non-PG quotient on TV. Before joining the QTV stable on AEW TV, the original call for the bombshell was to appear on WWE but the previously Vince McMahon-owned brand never showed big interest to take her under their banner for some reasons.

Harley Cameron’s initial run mostly went unnoticed until she was featured in a segment with The Acclaimed, comprised of Anthony Bowens and Max Caster who have solidified their status in the AEW roster as one of the most well-established teams in AEW’s history. Last year, The Acclaimed starred in a promo segment on June 23rd on an episode of Rampage that went viral Bowens’ homosexuality revelation in public.

During a recent episode of the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Harley Cameron shared her thoughts from the unforgettable segment with The Acclaimed that was discussed long after the airing. In the segment, she tried to pursue Anthony Bowens to become an on-screen couple but ultimately she was turned down because of his sexual orientation.

The crowd was seen chanting ‘He is gay,’ which left a lasting impression on Harley Cameron. Since she previously didn’t witness such an overwhelming reaction from the crowd, she described the experience as fun and wonderful. Despite her initial nerves, she took it as a challenge to have the support of the live audience who was rooting for Bowens,

“I was so thankful for the opportunity to be trusted with the microphone the first time I had ever been out in the ring, and it was a whole compilation of things. The musical side of things, the ability to be able to cut a promo straight away to a live audience after nobody knew me yet, so I was definitely excited and nervous at the same time. It was a pretty big segment for my first thing, but it was just awesome.”

Harley Cameron expressed her admiration for Billy Gun

Harley Cameron also proceeded to mention a moment from the segment when veteran Billy Gunn eased her nerves amidst the overwhelming crowd reaction. She noted that moment to be a full-circle experience for her as she realized her growth from her early training days to appear in the ring on a global television like AEW,

“I have a lot of respect for Billy and I look up to him so much. He was so helpful and I just remember having that moment in the ring and I was so overwhelmed because I don’t think any of us expected the audience to go that crazy over the segment. I remember him looking at me and in his eyes, he was like breathe, breathe, you’ve got this.”

Moving on from the segment, Harley Cameron grabbed eyeballs while featuring on AEW TV alongside Saraya and Zak Knight in some non-PG segments. However, she has barely competed in a match for the promotion one of which came in March 2023.
