Last night, Smackdown presented with the post-Super ShowDown episode that was a decent one. The New Day was the focal point of the show as Big E made his in-ring comeback. It was a two-month long break for the muscle of The New Day faction as he was overcoming form a knee injury. But finally, he was back with the ‘power of positivity’ that also helped his buddies to pick up a big win on the main event match of the night.
Daniel Bryan and Rowan Received New Challengers For Tag Team Title Defense
That match was certainly not the end of the show for the fans live in attendance. They received a big treat after 205 Live ended its taping. The Intercontinental Champion made his presence felt on the show in the dark segment of Smackdown. He did not appear on the main show of the Tuesday Night Show even after his successful title defense at Super ShowDown. But he did compete in a dream match for the present fans.
Balor vs. Nakamura relegated to the dark match. Gotta make room for all that good shit on TV ? @solomonster #WWESSD #WWE pic.twitter.com/zh1cz7cdnw

As per the reports from wrestlingINC.com, Finn Balor defended his Intercontinental Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura following Smackdown. He earned a clean pinfall win over the Artist to send the fans home on a happy note. We may note that Nakamura was also off this week’s WWE SmackDown broadcast. It’s pretty sad to see these two global talents sitting out of WWE TV show, like this.
Another dark match from Smackdown featured a former champion from NXT. Ember Moon defeated Liv Morgan at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California before the show officially began on the USA Network. The fans chanted ‘this is awesome’ during the match, as per the source. Furthermore, Liv debuted a new finishing move. But Moon was still able to win the match via pinfall. Liv has also been absent from Smackdown for the past few weeks whereas Moon has made only a few sporadic appearances.
Last night, she was present in a backstage segment to put over Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. The two heels beat her down that indicated a future feud in-store in the women’s division. Ember Moon desperately needs a big feud as she has proved to be really insignificant ever since entering Smackdown during Superstar Shakeup.
