John Cena has been the cornerstone figure of WWE programming for a long time starting with the year 2002. Being the poster boy of the company, he enjoyed his tenure at the top for almost fifteen years and as a process, he’s been part of memorable moments on TV. While most of them featured history-making achievements for himself, he also elevated his colleagues in the process.
The Miz is another trusted shoulder of the WWE who has been in the main event of many WWE shows and Premium Live Events over his career that lasted for 19 long years. In the beginning, many found it hard that he would make it to the top of the WWE. But he eventually made it through all and become a bonafide champion in the WWE.

John Cena and The Miz had quite the rivalry in the WWE
Often, The Miz and John Cena are touted to have created one of the best rivalries in WWE history. The two have faced off in singles (on three occasions) and tag team actions on Pay-Per-View on several occasions. The two also headlined WrestleMania 27 when Miz walked away with his only PPV victory over the Cenation leader, his path-breaking win in his career.
The other two matches between the two on PPV took place during The Bash in 2009 and Over the Limit in 2011 in which John Cena retained the WWE Championship that he had won from Miz 21 days prior in a triple threat steel cage match also involving John Morrison at Extreme Rules 2011.
Miz continues to be a full-time WWE Superstar on TV while John Cena has transitioned to be a Hollywood movie star in recent years. The last time the 16-time world champion featured in a full-length match was at Summerslam 2021 where he was defeated by Roman Reigns over the Universal Championship.
