Once again a huge blow hits WWE as injury list getting longer day by day and, this time, the name is none but the franchise of the company John Cena. As published in Cena to undergo surgery due to a shoulder injury in Birmingham this week and will be out of action for 6-9months. Cena was all set to challenge Del Rio for his rematch in the Royal Rumble PPV.

As per, the website had published that “John Cena has revealed that he will be undergoing shoulder surgery on Thursday. The Cenation leader took to Twitter Wednesday night to break the news to the WWE Universe. Stay with as more details on the Cenation leader’s condition become available.”

The Cenation leader himself tweeted saying, “Rather upside down start to 2016 as tomorrow I will head to Birmingham for shoulder surgery. Life’s full of setbacks but #nevergiveup”

As of speculation Cena would be undergoing a rotator cuff surgery and if this is the case then he should be out of action for 6 to 9 months. In the absence of Cena, WWE should take a chance to push rising stars like Neville, Samy Zayn, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens from NXT.

Though it is difficult to say how much WWE can recover from this one given that Wrestlemania season is all set to kick off and for the first time in 12 years, The Franchise will miss the spectacular event where he was supposed to face the Undertaker or Roman Reigns at the main event. WWE is already dealing with major superstars’ injuries like Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Cesaro, Seth Rollins etc.
