Legendary Kane is the next in line to be celebrated by the WWE for his contributions to the company, over the years. Earlier this year, WWE has already thrown 20th-anniversary celebrations to the likes of Randy Orton, John Cena, and Rey Mysterio to achieve some big numbers in their merchandise selling section.

Now, the WWE Universe may get ready to walk through hell, fire, and brimstone as the company has announced the 25th-anniversary celebration for WWE Hall of Famer Kane. This month marks the quarter-century since his debut on WWE programming as he appeared for the first time during 1997 In Your House: Bad Blood event, during the inaugural Hell in a Cell match.

Before this reemergence under a new gimmick, the real-life man under the mask, Glenn Jacobs had competed on WWF programming as evil dentist Isaac Yankem, as well as the fake Diesel. But transformation into Kane has totally changed his career as well as the landscape of WWE history.

In a statement on their official website, WWE had the following to offer about the veteran superstar,

“To commemorate the silver anniversary of Kane’s debut, WWE will be celebrating The Big Red Monster in the coming weeks with #Kane25. Be on the lookout for special Kane-themed editions of WWE Top 10 and WWE Playlist, throwback videos of your favorite and most nightmare-inducing Kane moments, and much more! Kane had an illustrious career in WWE for over two decades

In his first appearance, the Devil’s Favorite Demon cost his brother The Undertaker, the first Hell in a Cell match against Shawn Michaels. Moving on, the superstar billed from the hell had feuds with stars such as ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, and Triple H. Less than a year into his run, he ended up winning the WWF Title (admittedly for one day) but later on in his career, he had longer reigns as ECW and World Heavyweight Champion.

In the 2001 Royal Rumble match, Kane set a record with eleven eliminations, a record that lasted until 2014 when Roman Reigns broke the streak with thirteen eliminations. Down the road, Brock Lesnar also matched the score in 2020. The Big Red Monster also holds the record of making the most number of appearances in Rumble matches.
